Dancing is arguably the most effective form of exercise

 

Dancing for fitness has so many advantages:

  1. It uses all the muscles in your body due to the variety of movements and the lack of constant repetition with exercise such as walking or running

  2. It can be high or low impact depending on what suits your fitness level and any specific physical aspects you need to consider

  3. It produces more endorphins than other types of exercise giving you more of the feelgood factor both while dancing and afterwards

  4. Learning choreography keeps your mind active too and there is plenty of research to show that using your brain keeps it working well for longer

  5. It is similar to interval training, a very effective way to work out, because there are periods of rest while you step slowly through new moves
